Here are three places in Belarus for those who just want to immerse themselves in Belarus and don’t know where to start. In addition to the Mir’s and Lida’s Castles, there are some other outstanding spots on the map of the republic — they attract many travellers from both Belarus and other countries every year.
Kosava Palace and the Kosciuszko’s Estate Museum

What you can find here is a strikingly beautiful palace that impresses every tourist with the might of its fortress walls. The Puslowski dynasty was proud of the proximity to the birthplace of Tadeusz Kosciuszko, who was famous far beyond Belarus, and therefore, in 1838 the construction of a majestic family estate in front of his home began. By the way, the Pusłowski Palace is the first Neo-Gothic palace in the country. At the moment the building is being actively reconstructed — tourists can visit three halls, and by next year they promise to open two more. The property in Mereczewska, across the road from the family’s “nest” of the Pusłowski family, is a replica of a house built by Kosciuszko’s father in 1720. The original building burned down in 1944.
Oginski’s Palace in Zalesje

The name of the author of a widely known musical work — the polonaise “Farewell to the Motherland” — is situated not far from Smorgon. Polish composer Michail Kleofas Oginski lived here in 1802-1822. He used to hold balls, musical evenings and art exhibitions there. The manor has now been fully restored and gives every guest the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the 19th century atmosphere.
Gervyaty Castle

To see the island of Neo-Gothic you can visit the famous Saint Trinity Castle in Ostrovets district of Grodno region. By the way, you can enjoy not only the interior and exterior of the castle — there is a beautiful landscaped park with ornamental plants, sculptures of apostles and wooden crosses.
